Bali, known as the Island of the Gods, is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. With its breathtaking landscapes, cultural heritage, and tropical beaches, it's easy to see why. There are so many incredible sites to visit in Bali, each one offering a unique and unforgettable experience. In this article, we'll take an in-depth look at some of the most popular sites to visit in Bali.

Pura Besakih: Have you ever heard of a place called Pura Besakih? If you haven't, Pura Besakih is the biggest and the tallest Pura in Bali located right below the Famous Gunung Agung. It is a peaceful place perfect for those who wants to feel the old version/traditional version of Bali. There is a various activity that you could try as a tourist, includes Melukad, and a tour of the temple. Melukad is basically a Hindu-Balinese ritual tradition where the main point is to reset and clean your body and soul. it is just not for hindu/local balinese people but tourist that is not hindu can also take part on this activity.

Tanah Lot Temple

Tanah Lot Temple is one of the most famous landmarks in Bali and is located on a rocky outcropping just off the coast. This ancient temple is said to have been built by the 15th-century Hindu priest Danghyang Nirartha and is dedicated to the sea gods. The temple is a popular place for both locals and tourists alike and offers stunning views of the surrounding ocean and nearby hills. Visitors can also explore the nearby cave, where it is said that the temple's founder once meditated.

Uluwatu Temple

Another iconic temple in Bali is Uluwatu Temple, located high on a cliff overlooking the Indian Ocean. This temple is dedicated to the spirits of the sea and is considered one of the six most important temples in Bali. Visitors can explore the temple's many shrines and pavilions, as well as watch traditional Balinese dances performed in the nearby open-air stage. The temple also offers stunning views of the nearby coastline and is a popular spot for watching the sunset.

Gunung Payung Beach

Pantai Gunung Payung is one of Bali's hidden gem beaches, located on the island's southwestern coast. Despite being relatively unknown compared to other popular beaches in Bali, Gunung Payung is well worth a visit for its stunning beauty and peaceful atmosphere. In this article, we'll explore what makes Gunung Payung such a special place and why you should add it to your Bali itinerary.

The Beach The main attraction of Pantai Gunung Payung is its stunning beach, which is surrounded by towering cliffs and lush tropical vegetation. The sand is soft and white, and the water is crystal clear and perfect for swimming. The beach is relatively secluded, which means that you can enjoy some peace and quiet while you soak up the sun. There are a few local food stalls and warungs (small restaurants) nearby where you can grab a bite to eat, but the beach itself is relatively untouched, making it the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of more crowded beaches.

The Scenery

One of the most striking things about Pantai Gunung Payung is its breathtaking scenery. The beach is surrounded by towering cliffs covered in dense jungle, which provides a dramatic backdrop to the clear blue waters of the ocean. From the beach, you can also see the neighboring island of Nusa Penida in the distance, adding to the already stunning views. If you're looking for a peaceful place to relax and take in the beauty of Bali, then Pantai Gunung Payung is the perfect spot.
